GroMe is a parent-guided money and entrepreneurship app for teens aged 12–18 — made in Ireland by a dad who wanted better for his own kids.
GroMe is a parent-guided money and entrepreneurship app for teenagers aged 12–18. It helps teens build confidence, learn real money skills, complete real-world challenges, and earn parent-approved rewards — with parents involved every step of the way.
"I'm Colm, a dad. I built GroMe so my own teens could grow up with real confidence around money, goals, and the small daily wins that compound into a great life. I wanted something made for families — used alongside parents, and genuinely fun to open. That's the app I couldn't find, so I made it."
GroMe was born out of a simple frustration: there was no single tool that combined entrepreneurial thinking, financial literacy and real parental involvement in a way that was actually fun for teens. Most teenagers leave school able to solve for x, but never learn to budget, save toward something, or back their own ideas. GroMe gives them a daily place to practise.
We're giving early access free to the first families who join, because the people who try GroMe now will help shape what it becomes.
GroMe is not a bank and does not hold or move any funds. The savings vault is a learning tool that tracks parent-approved money — parents decide what is added and released. Teens learn real saving and spending habits without a debit card.
A PIN-protected Parent Zone lets parents set tasks, approve rewards, monitor progress and receive weekly progress reports by email. GroMe is designed to be a shared journey between parent and teen, not an app you hand over and walk away from.
Because GroMe is used by minors, safeguarding and privacy come first. We collect only what the app needs to work, and the whole experience is built to be a safe, calm place for a teen to learn. You can read more in our privacy policy and data protection page.
GroMe is an independent, Irish-built app. We'd rather get it right than get it big — which is why we work closely with the first families and educators who use it. Questions? See the GroMe FAQ or email hello@grome.live.
