Common Questions

What is GroMe?

GroMe is a learning app that teaches teenagers aged 12–18 how money, mindset and entrepreneurship really work. Teens take on real-world challenges, set goals, and earn parent-approved money into a savings vault, while GroMe Coach guides them like a young founder.

What age is GroMe for?

GroMe is designed for teenagers aged 12 to 18. Challenges, language and rewards are all pitched for teens, while parents stay in control through a PIN-protected Parent Zone.

Is GroMe free?

Yes. GroMe is free to download and start using. It is currently available in free early access on the App Store.

Is GroMe a bank account? Is the money real?

No. GroMe is not a bank account and does not hold funds. The vault is a learning tool that tracks parent-approved money, so parents decide what is added and released. It teaches real saving and spending habits without issuing a debit card.

How does GroMe keep my teen safe, and what can parents control?

Parents control everything from a PIN-protected Parent Zone — approving tasks, rewards and money, and viewing progress. GroMe also sends weekly progress reports by email and is built around the privacy of a minor.

What is GroMe Coach?

GroMe Coach is your teen's personal guide inside the app. It helps them turn a raw idea into a plan, work through challenges, and reflect on what they have learned — always in a mature, capable tone that treats them like a young founder.

What is Parent Coach?

Parent Coach is a guide for parents. It reads your teen's activity and gives you a clear weekly picture — what is going well, where to support them, and specific talking points to raise at home.

How many children can use one GroMe account?

One GroMe plan supports up to three teen profiles, each with their own goals, progress and vault. Siblings can also compete on a family leaderboard.

How is GroMe different from pocket money or teen banking apps?

Most teen money apps focus on a card and spending. GroMe is a skills and mindset app: it builds entrepreneurial thinking, saving habits and confidence through challenges and coaching, rather than issuing a debit card. Check each provider's current details, as features change over time.

What devices does GroMe work on?
